STAAR Accommodations Flipbook

The STAAR Accommodations Triangle is up and's November and we finally know what accommodations are allowed.  I could say more but I will refrain from saying how I really feel about it.

If you are not familiar with Texas standards, we use the TEKS unlike most of the other states that use Common Core.  We have a state test called STAAR.  On my campus my third and fourth grade students take STAAR Reading, Math and Writing.

On the tests, we are allowed to give eligible students accommodations.  There is a big list to choose from on the Texas Education Website (TEA).  Since it can be overwhelming to keep up with the entire list of them and who can use them, I made an easy flipbook to keep it all organized.  When I'm in a meeting, I can easily flip through this flipbook and have the information at my finger tips.

I created this great system last year but revised it last week when the accommodations were posted on TEA's website.  Take a look...

There are two parts to this flipbook.

Each section is different and fully updated. It can make your life so much easier.  I know it has made mine a big time saver.

I also have a preview on how to assemble the Accommodations Flipbook.
