Keeping Student Engaged

Ok, I know this is not the most beautiful picture of me especially with my finger over the screen. However, I had the best time taking it of me and Marcia Tate.  Yes, that's right..."The" Marcia Tate. Love her!

Marcia Tate is the author of:
Worksheets Don't Grow Dendrites: 20 Instructional Strategies That Engage the Brain and Shouting Won't Grow Dendrites: 20 Techniques for Managing a Brain-Compatible Classroom, as well as, various other books.

She was the presenter of our staff development on Monday.  The workshop reminded us of ways to increase student achievement.  She gave us 20 instructional strategies that engage the brain.  I have had the privilege of being in the audience 3 different times in the last few years.  I could hear it 3 more times.  She is that good. The best thing about her presentations- everything is PRACTICAL.  You don't have to go back and redo your entire classroom or purchase expensive products.

Great research and proven practices.

Everything makes sense because she is modeling each and every strategy.  Do you want students to be successful and engaged?  Do you want less discipline problems in your class?  Then you need to be using the 20 Instructional Strategies that Engage the Brain in your classroom.
