Where do you stand?

The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy- MLK

I'm reminding myself of this quote each day this week.  It seems as if I'm being challenged lately and it is not easy to swim against the tide and not give up.  I'm reminding myself daily of my calling to be an educator.

Dr. King was for Justice for All and I admire his fortitude to stand and do what was right for everyone.  How many people in history do we know that have done just that?  Not many.

I'm in my position as leader of a school to make a difference.  This difference is to be made in the lives of the students on my campus.  All of us have the ability to make a unique and meaningful difference in the lives of students-students who deserve our very best each day.

I challenge you today to teach with passion.  Smile more.  Encourage and support your team.  Open minds to imaginations.  Inspire your students to discover the joy of learning.

Where do you stand today?  Do you accept the challenge?
