I created a little JOY this week at school. I made Christmas gifts for my secretaries. I think they came out great. After posting this on Instagram, I was asked to explain how I made them. I purchased 4ft. precut pine boards at Home Depot. I painted them. Some of the boards are a soft green and a few are dark red. Using my cricut machine, I cut the letters for JOY out on vinyl. I added some embellishments with a flower and burlap ribbon. I used hot glue to put on the flower and ribbon. (The flowers came with a long stem at Hobby Lobby. I used a wire cutter to remove the stem).
The hot cocoa stand was made by the Gifted and Talented teacher's husband. They use it in the spring for lemonade. The other side of the Hot Cocoa sign says Lemonade. It's reversible.
What do you do on your campus to bring a little JOY?
